Released in 1964 and starring Vincent Price, The Last Man on Earth is the first of the many film adaptations of Richard Matheson’s vampire novel, I Am Legend, The Last Man on Earth is also the most faithful to the source material.
I've been a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre for as long as I can remember. Shows like Logan's Run, Ark II and Thundarr the Barbarian started me down the road. Movies like The Day After and Threads kept me going. And books like Alas, Babylon, Earth Abides and The Stand sealed the deal.
I still try to keep up with new releases in the genre, but a good old-fashioned plague or nuclear apocalypse is still my favorite.
